What to expect at the bar
This is a neighbourhood bar rather than a tourist stop, so a few local notes help. Beer comes on tap and wine by the glass, both easy to order if you do not speak Romanian. Tipping is appreciated but relaxed — rounding up or about 10 percent is normal, not expected. If you want to eat alongside your drink, ask for mici, the small grilled minced-meat rolls that Moldovans order with beer the way others order fries. The bartenders speak enough English to point you in the right direction, so just say what you are in the mood for.
